McLane Advanced Technologies Hosts Golf Tournament to Benefit the United Way of Central Texas
TEMPLE, Texas (November 6, 2012) McLane Advanced Technologies (MAT), a global provider of Information Technology and logistics solutions, is pleased to announced that the 2012 McLane Advanced Technologies Golf Tournament to Benefit United Way of Central Texas, raised $17,057.95.
The event took place at Wildflower County Club, on Monday, November 5th.
“This year’s tournament was a success,” said McLane Advanced Technologies President and CEO Drayton McLane Jr. “We are very grateful to all our sponsors and participants that helped raised money for those in need through United Way agencies.”
Companies supporting the tournament ranged from local businesses to international corporations traveling from across the U.S. Many expressed their appreciation to the U.S. military by funding teams for Ft. Hood soldiers.
“We appreciate being asked to participate in the golf tournament in support of such a worthy cause as the United Way,” said COL, GS Deputy Commander, 13th Sustainment Command at Ft. Hood, Charles Kibben, . “The welcome we received for this event was exceptional, the golf fun, and the weather superior.”

The United Way of Central Texas supports 23 local social service agencies. From pre-natal care to senior citizens, United Way partner agencies provide financial, physical, emotional, and psychological care to those in need.
